Murder on the Buffalo Express: a mystery dinner at the depot

On Saturday, August 1st at 7 p.m., the Piedmont Historical Society's Southern Railroad Depot Museum becomes the Buffalo Express, a luxury steam locomotive rolling out of New York City in the year 1934. The first class cabin is packed with VIPs, the staff has everything polished to a shine, and somewhere between here and the final stop, somebody on board is not going to make it.

That's where you come in. Guests spend the evening hunting clues, questioning suspects, and trying to name the killer before the night is over, all while dinner is served. It's part play, part game, and the whole room is in on it.

One thing to know going in: the mystery happens inside the historic depot. The train does not move, and neither does the caboose out front.

The night comes from Southern Ghost Girls Tours, the same crew that brought the Wild West mystery dinner to the depot back in May. The photos below are from that night, so you know what kind of evening you are signing up for. It's built for date nights, family tables, and any group that argues about who done it on the ride home. Proceeds benefit the Piedmont Historical Society.
