Kevin and Maggie Cunningham keep finding new ways to put Piedmont out there
They run Pinhoti Pizza downtown. They also run a whole shelf of websites promoting the town, throw car shows, hosted this year's strawberry festival at the shop, and gave Piedmont's new farmers market a home every Thursday evening.

Some people promote their business. Kevin and Maggie Cunningham promote their town, and the business comes along for the ride.
The Cunninghams own Pinhoti Pizza in downtown Piedmont, and if you have spent any time here, you have probably crossed paths with something they had a hand in. They advertise other businesses. They talk up their neighbors. They put people together who ought to know each other, and they have spent years getting the word out about Piedmont to anybody who will listen.
Then there are the websites. Kevin has built a whole stream of them, each one aimed at getting some corner of Piedmont in front of more eyes: the trail, the downtown shops, the farmers market, the outdoors, the town itself. It is the kind of quiet infrastructure work nobody asks you to do and everybody benefits from. Every one of them is live right now.
Kevin's sites, all pointing at Piedmont
Tap any of them. They all work.
The pizza shop doubles as a gathering place. This year the Cunninghams hosted the strawberry festival right at the shop. They put on car shows that fill the lot with classics and neighbors. And when Piedmont's new farmers market needed a home, they gave it one. It runs every Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
None of it is complicated. It is just two people who decided their town deserved the word of mouth, and then went and built the mouth. Go see them. The pizza is the easy excuse.
